SSD is committed to creating a culture of corporate citizenship, protecting the health and safety of our staff, and sharing our success with the community.

The organizations we choose to work with are those that have proven track records of helping individuals and families in need. In addition, our staff is encouraged to bring those causes and organizations near and dear to each of them, as a group and individually, to the company for consideration for whatever type of support is needed.

Keeping the vitality of our community alive and well cared for benefits both businesses and residents. Giving of our financial resources and time provides us all with a sense of belonging and keeps us connected.

SSD Technology Partners has provided both volunteer hours and financial donations to a long list of non-profit organizations throughout the state of Delaware. We continually seek opportunities for our staff to be involved with non-profits and provide both financial support, In-kind donations and manpower support.

Stack of hands - real people agreement

“UrbanPromise is a non profit organization in Wilmington serving over 400 low-income children and youth in the city. We run free summer camps in 5 neighborhoods throughout Wilmington for 6 weeks. For the past 2 very hot summers, SSD has donated a mountain of boxes of freeze pops for our summer camps…Enough to provide a freeze pop for every child twice each week for all 6 weeks! You begin to understand the significance of this when you learn that some of our camps are not air conditioned, and that the ‘Freeze Pop’ moment of the day is a very special cool-me-down-treat. Our Camp Directors especially enjoy knowing that they have awesome motivational rewards available for good behavior. And at the end of a long, hot camp day, our high school StreetLeaders and college interns who staff our camps are thrilled to enjoy their own sweet treat! And yes, we’ll admit that even our UPS guy loves to have packages for UrbanPromise, where he is offered an ice-cold freeze pop. Many thanks to our friends at SSD for loving our kids in such a unique and appreciated way!!!”
