Axiom

The Axiom process begins with data from paper forms, online applications and tape loads. Axiom has integrated with such third party vendors as: CollegeBoard’s Recruitment Plus database, Common Application, XAP and CollegeNET.  You can also import test scores (SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT, etc.) with Axiom.  While these are just some examples, the options for Axiom are endless.  Axiom also supports other industry standard data formats such as, flat files, csv, edi and xml.

Axiom validates the information against your Sungard Higher Education Banner® tables and rules. The system also searches your database for potential duplicate records, allowing you to update rather than create new records. Data is then uploaded to Banner®.  Images can be indexed via imaging systems like Documentum/EMC’s ApplicationXtender either by itself or as part of the Banner XtenderSolutions®.

OCR/ICR Data Capture

Using OCR/ICR software by AnyDoc™, machine print and handwritten data can be scanned, verified and validated against your Banner® modules.  Once the application has been scanned and verified in AnyDoc™,  a text file will be generated for Axiom to process and upload to Banner®.

The OCR/ICR tool can do much more than process student applications, it can read bar codes, patch codes and check boxes so that other forms you have can be captured, indexed and stored.

Axiom Web

AxiomWeb is an add-on to Axiom that enables you to build a customizable web user interface that is tied directly to your Banner® tables allowing you to create your own on-line application.
