Barbara Hines, President
Originally from Hutchinson, Kansas, Barbara studied
accounting at Wichita State University. She is
responsible for mentoring and motivating the SSD team
and marketing the SSD message to our community.
When she has the time, she enjoys golf, boating,
volunteer work, and reading. She is involved with
the Delaware Hospice
Golf Committee, the Meals on Wheels, YWCA, Boys & Girls Clubs of
Delaware, National Association of
Women Business Owners, Delaware Business Executives, and
the True Profit Group, among others.
Nancy Froome, Vice-President of Administration
Raised in Wichita, Kansas, Nancy studied business
administration and earned her BA from Wichita State
University. As Vice President of
Administration for SSD, Nancy currently serves as
controller and oversees the HR responsibilities of the
company. Beyond her business commitments she is a
gourmet chef and a connoisseur of fine wines.
Nick Romano, Vice President of Technology
Nick Romano grew up in Wilmington, Delaware; St. Croix,
U.S. Virgin Islands; and Houston, Texas. He attended the
University of Texas to study electrical engineering
until relocating back to Wilmington with his family.
He joined SSD in 1983 as a
programmer and is now the Director of
Research and Development. Nick’s recreational interests
include water sports, home remodeling and construction,
and flying.
Woodie Bowe,
Director of Technical Services
From Rising Sun, Maryland, Woodie heads up SSD's
technical department. He has been with the firm
for the past 11 years - he's a real veteran - and his
passion truly is technology.
Nick Ewen, Director of Development
Also known as Junior, Nick is from Seaford, New
York. He attended the University of Delaware and
has been working with SSD for the past 9 years. At
SSD, he manages the development team and all custom
programming projects, including
Axiom. When he gets the opportunity, he
loves to ski, read, and watch television and sports.
Lisa Detwiler, Chief Marketing Officer
Originally from Philadelphia, Lisa earned her MBA
from Carnegie Mellon University. Presently she
focuses on marketing efforts to drive SSD's overall
strategic growth objectives. Outside of the
office, she enjoys spending time with her family,
cooking, fishing and boating.
